    Orthopedic physiotherapy involves the assessment and treatment of your muscles, tendons, joints, ligaments, etc. Your musculoskeletal system! We work with you to identify issues with movement, strength, and/or function, and develop an appropriate treatment plan to help you reach your goals. We treat many different conditions.

    Pelvic Floor Physiotherapy

    This specialized branch of physiotherapy focuses on the assessment and treatment of your pelvic floor! Dysfunction in the pelvic floor may lead to issues like incontinence, urinary urgency/frequency and chronic pelvic pain. We also help individuals with exercise during pregnancy as well as returning to exercise postpartum.

  • Gunn intramuscular stimulation dry needling for lower back pain or injury

    Dry Needling

    Dry Needling is a specialized technique in which thin, stainless steel needles are inserted into taut muscle bands in order to diagnose and treat injuries. It can be especially helpful if you are active, have a chronic injury or if other treatment/therapies haven’t worked for you! All of Break Free’s physios are trained in dry needling.

  • Low Back Pain Physiotherapy

    Lower back pain can be very complex. Our methodology to treat lower back pain is based on shared understanding, movement testing to verify the source of the issue, and progressive reassessment. We treat various conditions related to the lower back, including sciatica, nerve impingement, herniated discs, degenerative disc disease, leg pain referred from the back and more.

  • Postpartum Rehab

    This is physiotherapy specific to mamas who have given birth within the last few years. We help with various issues including urinary incontinence, pelvic organ prolapse, diastasis recti abdominis, pelvic or back pain, abdominal weakness, pain with intercourse, and scar healing. We offer both 1:1 physiotherapy treatment postpartum and group physiotherapy classes.
